The 112 Sqn bird is wrong , correct markings and serial but wrong airframe , should be a long tail P-40M Kittty III, not a short tail P-40K Kitty III, should also be Dark Green /Dark Earth over Grey not Desert scheme.

A29-99 also has problems, the serial should be in Black, a point obvious in photos of the airframe.

Italeri seems to regularly get caught out by using dodgy references for some of their releases.

They seem to have a number of things wrong with the Kit markings. As Steve Points out A29-99 is incorrect, as is the RCAF Bird (finished in Flat Azure blue, when it should be Sky Grey.

Whilst the 112 SQN aircraft is incorrect as mentioned above, it's actually a P-40K-15 so a long tailed K model, not a P-40M. I do agree the the scheme is more likely to be Green/Brown over grey based on the time the aircraft was with the unit, however the available pictures are not conclusive enough to confirm or deny this fact.

Still have 2 of the original AMT's in the stash bought them almost 20 years ago now. Must build them, I have Aussie decal sheets to go with them. They are basic kits but they look easy and quick to build which is what I'm all about!
