1/72 SP-2H Neptune

Pulled the Hasegawa Neptune off the shelf and washed the sprues and resin bits. Here they are drying.

Soon to be joined by the Eduard bomb bay and general detail kits, the Aeroclub props and landing gear and PD Decals, amongst others. Better be worth it...

This shot also illustrates part of my usual workbench. Tidiness is for weak minds!

Good luck with this, I'm on a long term build with one, currently fixing up the U/C bays and legs

Sprung for the aftermarket cockpit for my eventual build.

I haven't worked out how to do the canopy blinds yet.

The PD sheet is nice but likely to be fragile and in need of a clear coat before use.
I'm not older than dirt, but I do remember when it was new.

Blimey Rob-I never knew there's so much aftermarket stuff for the Neptune!

I have done an OOB one and have another in the stash to go with the Blackbird Models back date conversion.

I'm looking forward to watching you bring all these bits together!

Cheers

Yeah, most of the AM stuff is from PlusModel. There isn't much in their range and what they have is mostly Neptune, so I think the owner is a Neptune fan!

I saw an article on (I think) Britmodeller a while back using alfoil for the canopy blinds, so I'm going to run with that for mine. There's a fair bit of stuff duplicated between the Eduard interior set and the Pavla set, so I'll pick the best of the two and make a decision then.

I'll need to tidy the bench a bit first...no room for the kit itself atm - it's been on the kitchen table for several days after the pre-washing of bits and SWMBO still hasn't said anything about moving it yet!

Must.....not....buy....more... - who am I kidding?! I have to get the Caribou tail surfaces now. Nice one, David!

*Edit* Even more annoyingly, my research today shows almost every picture of a Neptune on the ground has the flaps extended - now I have to buy the flap set, too!

We're going to lead each other astray.
