Mojo restarters....Revell 1/32 F18 & Anigrand 1/48 Firefox

Postby GeneralJG » Wed Jun 19, 2019 11:34 pm

Happy days.....I used the old 1/32 Revell Hornet as a quicky with some weathering testing to hopefully get the mojo juices flowing.
Spot the 31,256 accuracy errors..... I didn't even attempt to fix anything so its OOB. It was also second (third/fourth??) hand so had some missing bits. I couldn't get the U/C doors to fit properly & it probably would have been easier to build it wheels down!

So with the mojo still going I went straight to something I've wanted to do for ages.........

This only took me about three weeks which is amazing considering my usual YEARLY builds. My first all resin kit which took me a while to get the hang of using super glue. Getting the colour was a challenge. I ended up using straight Tamiya Sea Blue (XF-17) which after applying Tamiya Semi-Gloss clear darkened very well. It built nicely & I enjoyed it. :)

I've cleared the bench & organized the paint drawer so watch out Mr Doppel I'm aiming for your amazing build quantity (if not your build quality!!) :D :D :D

Very cool. I hope to get my Mojo fired up this weekend and start back on the 1/32 Mirage. Hope it works for me as clearly as it has for you.

Firefox is one of my favourite movies of the era. You’ve done the Mig31 proud.
