I shudder to think of the cost of aftermarket versus the cost of the kit.

Great work Mark. Looks like you bought just about every after market kit available in the world today :P

I remember building this one may years ago and was struck by the lack of detail in it. I assume thats why you chose the Tamiya so you could put all the after market stuff on it without having to sand too much off?

I also did the 1/200 Bismarck partworks that came out many years ago which was enough fine detail for a lifetime for me.

Anyway, good luck with it, I admire your patience.You've got a lot of PE there. Cracking start though.
