Hmmm, some small dramas there. Not a great advert for Airfix but you'll sort them, I'm sure.

I am fixing up the wing roots as we speak and will have an image of the end result later today. The wing roots look good so far I just need to get better at doing free hand scribing to replace the lost panel lines in that area :-(

It's all looking nice, build-wise, but it's frustrating when CAD-designed parts just don't fit. I found with the Airfix 1/72 Lightning every insert needed fixing in this regard.

The wing joints are finished and look better but I do need to learn to scribe better.

The cockpit look ok from the box but there are a number of areas that could do with some scratch building, detailing or PE. If I do another one I will get the replacement instrument panel etc. I am deliberately not putting seat belts on the model as it is being done OOB with no scratch building or additions.

The canopy is on and works ok but the arrow head part needs to be fitted as it can obstruct the canopy.

Looking good. That cockpit looks ok OOB but yes, I'd be adding PE. It was pretty cramped in there, wasn't it. The long-nose version fixed that a bit.

I am amazed that they could fit two people in there actually.

A great deal of the interior components in the cockpit could be replaced but I wouldn't bother with the radio compartment as you can't see it once the aircraft is closed up, the same for the turret.

It is really starting to have that Blenheim Mk 1 look now with the canopy on. You need to be careful with the top part of the canopy as it is wide and may not match up with the lower sections. I ended up have to hold the canopy top wide for a while to allow the glue to dry with the top part on and fitting correctly.

Here is the almost complete turret on the building jig supplied by Airfix. The jig is quite useful but you still need to look carefully at the instructions to work out what goes where and what way.

I contemplated doing some weathering on the turret but as the next picture shows you don't actually see much. The seat and glass still needs to go on which will obstruct even more from being seen. The turret easily slips in to the fuselage but you won't see much inside once it is in there.

Looking good. I presume you acquired a masking set for that? :D
