The base wash of thinned black paint has been applied and the matt coat sprayed on once the wash dried. Once it is all dry the detail painting is to commence and then the final weathering and attachment of all the small parts.

I would like to finish this soon too - I am not starting another kit until I get one off the bench now and I have several meteors and a 1/48 MIG-29 to make (among others).

There is still a fair bit to go but the undercarriage is on and the prop is assembled but needing a paint job. The RATO pod is on but I am wondering if there should be weathering around that area.

Here is a bit of a comparison between the Airfix, Trumpeter and Hobbycraft kits in similar schemes. I tend to like the look of the Airfix as it looks 'better'.

I am finally calling this one finished. I have not glued on the wings as I should be moving states at the end of the year and want to be able to disassemble it for moving. There will be more images added on the next update of AMI.
