Gun belts

For those thinking of buying P/E gunbelts, before you spend that money, go down to your local supermarket, Bunnings or Masters and have a look at the packs of cable ties on offer. The soild edge ones are great for gun belts and are paintable and flexible too!

How do they look painted up because I tried some for my 1/72 Huey's and they just didn't look good at all. I'm guessing you'd have to use a really good CA glue and a vinyl based paint to avoid it flaking off when bent?
