I'm here Glen :D
Well I finally got some paint on this beast.As expected I lost some of the raised panel lines fixing joins etc so it has become an exercise in NMF finishes.It is all ready for the clear coat prior to decalling.It looks ok from a distance :D .Thanks for looking,all comments welcome

Nice mix of silvers there mate. Did you go with the Tamiya sprays or use some Metal Gunze as well? Hope to see her alongside the Dagger at the February meeting, should be a nice return to the past.

That's lookin' nice Daz. You may remember a while back I posted pics during one of the school holidays, of some projects that my kids and I got into. My seven year old daughter wanted to build a model and I happen to have two of these old 1/48 Monogram collectors edition F4U-4 so I let her have one. Well she built it and got most of the painting done before one of the folded wings snapped off and she lost interest in it. I decided the other day that it had sat around long enough and gathered a sufficient dust layer that it needed finishing. So here it is;

F4U-4 WE24 VMF-214 'Black Sheep' Sqn, Korea 1951
