Avro Anson Experimental Camouflage

A different take on a popular subject. Those of you who have the Ian Baker book or the Red Roo decals will be familiar with the subject. Otherwise it's a new look at something entrenched as 'fact'.

Lovely! Always good to see a different subject.

Interesting. I think Pentland was the first to suggest a full adoption of RAF Coastal Command style markings.
I'm not older than dirt, but I do remember when it was new.

That is correct. it was first seen in the Pentland book and copied by many profile artists, kit makers and decal producers. An internet search for "Anson AW665" will give many images.

That's very interesting - well done for trying it. My own results rendered it as a sort of bright lime green and the white was quite cream. It is an excellent demonstration of what rubbish "colorization" software really is. I suppose there are stores numbers for lime green and purple but I'm not familiar with them. Note also that it has rendered the RAAF Sky Blue codes of the aircraft in the background as white. I cropped the picture to leave that out so can't compare.

I did a couple of different websites, but that one was the best! Sometimes they go ok, most of the time they are crap.
