1/32 scale bike chain

Postby TonyR » Fri Jan 11, 2019 11:15 am

I am looking to buy some bike chain either 1/32 scale or something that will pass for it to do some trim tab and flap winders on a 1/32 Storch, have tried searching Hannants and BNA and not having much luck, any ideas please.
Cheers Tony

Have you tried Spot Model? They are good with A/M.

Edit - just checked, not in 1/32. Maybe 1/35 chain from AFV supplies? Similar to that used on Panther tanks may work (for the storage of the gun barrel?)

How about the aftermarket stuff for motorcycles - too big? or a diecast eg https://www.minimodelshop.co.uk/diecast ... oys-06063k May be a bit crude.

What about ABER 35097, 1:35 PE for Tamiya German Bicycles? Not in stock at BNA or CMA unfortunately.

Hi Tony - another wild option - the 1/35 Meng FT17 and Orderly kit (HS-005) includes an old Peugeot motorcycle. This maybe surplus to requirements for some folk ? Cixmodels.com also do a resin upgrade set for it that includes a resin chain - tho that may be a bit OTT for your need

Hi Tony,

Might be an option for you here. I used very thin strips of lead foil and twisted them to represent the rudder/interconnect chains on my 1/32 Bird Dog. Could be similar to what you are after?
