Wow, more FU's than a Gordon Ramsey episode!

Thank God for the internet, otherwise I'd NEVER know that EVERY kit I've ever bought is total garbage!

I sincerely hope there is some 1/48 love in the future for those 452, 453 and 457 squadron sheets. Wow!

Thanks for posting this. I regularly check DK's website but even here the profile images for these new sheets do not appear as yet. Within the last few days another Mitchell sheet has popped up - this time for RAF Mitchell's - obviously targeting the new Airfix kit.
Love the thread title by the way!!

Cheers... Dave

Not sure I have enough Spitfire kits.
I'm not older than dirt, but I do remember when it was new.

I'm interested to see what reference they used for 457 BP-P AD537. I have a couple of pics of that aircraft with the "Shaggus" insignia, but the "Flying Gomeral" appears to be missing.

I wonder if they had to draw lots to see who got to fly in FU-K?
I also collect Australian war medals. Get in touch if you would like to know something about a group you might have or if you have some you would like to dispose of.

Bandit - If by 'Flying Gomeral' you mean the Flying Dragon insignia above the name 'Shaggus' it is there , look a bit closer.

Refs used were the post about Viv Shearn that you had on this Forum a few years ago with the photos from Pete Malone plus additional info from Peter (he did not mention anything apart from the name and Dragon insignia).

One note - Eduard is going to be releasing a 1/72 version of the 'Aussie Eight' package complete with a 1/72 version of the 31 examples decal sheet soon (first six months of 2017).

To that end Franta made a decision to not repeat the airframes that Eduard have in the book and decals which is why some of the more well known examples are not there, Franta deciding that more variety of other airframes was desirable.

Hi Steve,

Is there a likelihood that Franta may also produce at lease a subset of these in 1/48 this year?

Cheers,

Ken
